Explore Kinshasa city with a historic visit to Congo business hub and center of tourism. Excellent city view with a number of tourism activities. Transfer to Virunga national park in the evening.
Dinner and overnight
You will be required to wake up early morning 7:00am and prepare for breakfast. We head to gorilla tracking site were you will be briefed and get into the action (tracking of mountain gorillas). Here you will go through thick forest tracking the giants.
You will see how wonderful these guys are? The tracking takes a period of 3-4 hours after which we track back to the hotel. Also expect to come across beautiful butterflies, birds and a number of flowers. Also all trekkers are advised to carry enough water, non flash cameras, sturdy trekking shoes, hats, and long sleeved trousers. Relax in the evening (evening nature walk optional).
Have dinner and Overnight at Mikeno lodge.
After breakfast, we transfer to Kibat Patrol station in Nyiragongo Volcano. Here we the park rangers who will guide you and your porters on a hike to the top of the Nyiragongo Volcano. Hiking this volcano will take about 4-6 hours till you reach the peak of the worlds most lively volcano.
The way to the summit is somewhat easy although a bit tiring, often hot and in an uncomfortable state. Along the journey, you will enjoy amazing sights and views of rare birds and undersized mammal groups.
On reaching the peak, you will enjoy the view of the lakes of boiling lava and get to relax at the peak of this volcano. You will spend the night in the tents on the edge of the huge crater, elevated above the dynamic lava lake.

Check out after breakfast and transfer to Kahuzi-Biega National Park. Kahuzi Biega is the home to the largest species of the eastern lowland gorillas in the whole world.
It has thus become a top tourist attraction for lowland gorilla tours. Trekking the gorillas usually involves hiking in the tropical rainforest and following different trails, depending on where the family spent their previous night.
Hiking time may range from 30 minutes to six hours in the jungle. However, you are strictly going to spend an hour interacting with the gorillas after reaching them; learning their unique behavior patterns. This hour is going to provide you with a lifetime experience to tell.
Kahuzi Biega also is a home to about 342 bird species, 42 endemic to the park. This is a paradise to avid bird lovers. Among the birds you are likely to spot here include Yellow Crested Helmet-Shrike, African Green Broad Bill and the Congo Peafowl among many others. Dinner and overnight at L’Orchids Safari Club
Travelers here are able to follow different trails in this tropical rainforest to various tourism sites. The trails lead to various sites such as the Chibati waterfalls and three other waterfalls found in the park.
Experienced guides are going to lead you in spotting various types of wildlife and vegetation in Kahuzi Biega. Nature here is at its pristine, with travelers able to hear the sweet sounds of singing birds up the trees, and the cool air to freshen the mind of the weary traveler.
